The term Art Deo reminds us of the Sky Scrapers of New York and Chicago but the movement was also very strong in France where the term was coined in 1925.

This stunning rock crystal, sapphire and old cut diamond brooch with its perfect combination of curves and straight lines was made in Paris in the mid 1920s for the export market.

Sadly the makers mark is gone but this piece is of such high quality it was certainly made by one of the top ateliers likr René Boivin.
