It isn’t all fancy photos and vintage Savile Row tailoring . Sometimess it’s washing, ironing and reassembling bags of dress shirts and Marcella waistcoats. Hardly a tough job but labour intensive for the results . Coming soon there are a LOT of vintage and antique cotton items ….

We just dug up some lovely old cloth. The first is a mid ( traditional standards) weight navy twill from Italy (3m x 1.5m)
Secondly a nice slubby mid weight wool herringbone . 2.4 x 1.5 .
We won’t list these so feel free to show interest. I have no idea of value so make a good offer .

It’s always great to do swaps and a few days ago we received these fantastic suits from a customer in Italy.
- late 50’s/ early 60’s three piece charcoal with high armpits and waistband - less trousers , with belt loops
- peak lapel black suit circa 1960 size 42
- French three piece dinner suit , we think 30’s, with high armpits and cinch back trousers.
You cannot buy suits of this style and quality now.

Just a quick one …. We’ve been away for ten days so fallen a bit behind ! However there is lots coming up over the next week or so….
- the trouser stock take will be processed
- we’ve had a few lovely 50’s Italian suits sent to us
- A small Welsh and Jefferies wardrobe in amazing condition around 44 reg
- A Dege wardrobe in a size 42 approx .
- we will hopefully be clearing a theatre this Friday which is normally quite fruitful …
- A small collection of fairly modern Huntsman pieces in roughly 39 reg / long .
In addition we are seeing a whole saler next week who’s been saving items for us and there are a few nice returns going back in to main stock today, including a beautiful navy 1940’s overcoat.
Be vigilant for updates and sneak peaks over the next few days as we get organised and back to business 😉

Museum visit pt3…. Rare to the see the pervertin ‘ supplements’ in the wrapper and on display. Is that a genuine SS leather trench ? The vehicle display was also excellent and with amazing variety. Well worth a visit.
