In 1965, after an almost decade-long legal battle led by Dr Rolf Portmann, Oris finally gained the freedom to develop movements using the lever escapements that had previously been restricted under Swiss law.

One year later, the Oris Star was born.

Now, 60 years on, Oris has brought that distinctive design back with the new Heritage Star Edition.
