Starting to see some nice scratches and signs of wear on this one now, not surprising given it is my most worn watch of the last 18 months or so since it arrived.

Another long week draws to a close here, we have some pretty funky weather happening in the UK, bright blue skies turn to black with hailstones and thunder and lightening! Great fun for humans, less so for dogs.

DECISION TIME!

After 2 months of Ingenieur it’s time to switch things up.

But, do I stick with modern in the form of the OG Tudor Black Bay 58 OR switch it up to neo-vintage with the Tudor Submariner 79090?

Each has its relative merits and it’s not an easy choice, so help me out by voting in the poll below and let me know in the comments which way you’d go…

Thank you for putting up with 09 days straight of IWC Ingenieur 40 pics for the 02nd running of

Am I going 02 be doing this every month? No. But the fact that I’ve done it 04 02 months in a row should tell you something.

It should tell you that I’ve been wearing this 01 almost exclusively for over 01 month now. Can I see it coming off anytime soon? Honestly no.

It’s filling the EXACT slot I had earmarked for it - a daily watch that fits in with my life, giving me all the gorgeous looks I want from my watch, with the size and comfort of a 40mm case size and the security of a modern watch. And it isn’t a Rolex. Only the Tudor BB58 in my collection can fill a similar slot, and you know how much I enthuse about that being a ‘01 and done’.

So, where does this leave us? For now, with this 01 on the wrist and with me not trying 02 overthink it 02 much, and that in itself is helping to set me 03.

And now it’s time to stop my rambling b04 I lose you entirely and you end up 08ing me.

I apologise. I know that yesterday’s post upset some of you, and for that I am sorry.

It is true that at a quick glance, you could well have thought that I had shot the watch crown down ⬇️

Now, I know how divisive that is, in my defence in fact the watch was merely leaning against a vertical surface. But I know, I know, I’ve let some of you down. Crown down.

Lesson learnt, it won’t happen again.

So here, for is the black dial IWC Ingenieur 40, with the crown most definitely up ⬆️

Order is restored.

However, to do so would mark you out as someone who isn’t paying attention to the details.
