✨ Right… who’s coming to see me at Kempton? 👀 ✨

I’m getting everything packed up, polished and ready for another day at Sunbury Antiques Market — and I can’t wait to see some of you lovely people there! 💗

I’ll be bringing lots of vintage and antique jewellery, including beautiful rings, chains, bracelets, earrings, quirky little treasures and, of course, a few pieces that you’ll probably fall in love with 👀✨

There’s something rather lovely about meeting you in person, hearing what catches your eye and watching you find that “YES, this is the one!” piece 🥰

🎠 And make sure you check out the sterling silver charm carousel! There are some absolute little beauties in there — and you never know which one might be calling your name ✨

And yes… my nutcase self will be behind the stall too 😂

📍 Kempton Park Racecourse
📅 Tuesday 29th September
⏰ 6:30am to around 2pm
🎟️ £5 admission from 6:30 to 8am (FREE from 8am onwards)
🚗 Complimentary parking
🛍️ Inside and outside stalls

So, if you’re coming, please come and say hello! Even if you’re just having a browse — I genuinely love chatting to you all 💗

Save this post for the date and tag the person you’d love to have a good old rummage around the market with! 👇

Is this a fake sapphire? 😱

At first, I thought the stone was damaged, but then I did some research. I’m not a gemologist (although I have basic understanding and learnings from gem courses I’ve done in the past) – I do love to learn new things and fact check 🤓

So, is this a fake sapphire? No, this is a genuine naturally grown sapphire. How do we know?

This here is called colour zoning. It occurs during the formation of the sapphire crystal over the course of millions of years.

The GIA says natural sapphires commonly develop angular zoning, reflecting their hexagonal crystal structure. Any curves banding is usually a telltale of synthetic growth.

I find this topic really fascinating, as it offers a tiny glimpse into our prehistoric past. Especially having only ever come across one, I’d keep all the colour zoning stones if I could.
