Winter nights in London are always chilly, but every time I walk to Southbank, my heart is brightened up a little - Christmas decorations make this stretch of riverbank full of warm details, small stalls hung with strings of lights, markets with the aroma of mulled wine, and occasional Christmas songs, like a soft blanket that wraps up the chill of this season - When I took these photos, the wind was a bit strong, and the lights on the Thames were shaking slightly, but every beam of light in the lens carried the warmth of the festival. I like this scene, where light and shadow interweave, people are bustling, and the city seems to be telling you that winter nights are not lonely because Christmas is here, and everything becomes lively and bright.
