Important announcement

Effective August 1st 2016, Weather Watch East Preston will no longer be providing daily forecasts or updates, whilst we may post in times of active/severe weather these will not be frequent and should not be relied on.

I would like to thanks everyone who has supported us over the past 4 years and helped us reach the current point. It has been a hard decision to make but due to a change in circumstances it is no longer possible to keep it going, we hope that you have enjoyed our posts / updates over the past few years and have found them useful.

The Met Office has now declared a Level 3 heat-health alert for West Sussex.

Mostly sunny. High 28C. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. UV Levels are Very High.

TONIGHT
Mainly clear with some clouds around. Low 19C. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph.

Currently it's 20C outside and only 0620 this suggest it is going to get hot fast. The hot weather is keeping pollen levels high.

Remember to drink lots of water in this heat to prevent dehydration and heat stroke not only does this affect us humans it can also affect our pets.

The UV levels are very high so remember to apply lots of suncream and if possible avoid the sun during the midday hours (10-4).

Apologies for no forecast yesterday as I was busy helping out on the NCS program for this years participants having done it last year. This however means that there may not be a forecast every day due to whether I have enough free time to produce one.

The forecast frequency should resume in about a months times so by the 2nd week in august they should be back to normal.

We will have today's forecast up shortly.

Current radar is clear across the whole of the United Kingdom and should remain this way for the rest of the day. Luckily due to the rain we had yesterday the pollen levels have dropped from very high to high which is some (only a little) relief to hay fever sufferers.
