As I started a new piece in class last night I do need to make sure I am costing materials as I work along with all my notes.

Silver has increased in price like you would not believe and handmade quality pieces are not for everyone and that is okay!

This term for me has been about stone setting independently and this ring will be my final piece of the term. I also played with texturing with different sized dapping punches which made a nice change from hammering.

I look forward to sharing it next week 😊

Out of the naughty corner, (been there maybe 2 or 3 terms 😆) came this beautiful blue seaglass bracelet. Seaglass that I found on the beach Anglesey 🩷

I decided to make a torque bracelet but the unusual shaped seaglass threw me some curveballs with the bezel setting and the soldering process!

But we got there in the end!

How stunning is this piece 😍

First of my term pieces completed with 😊 and something a little different for me.

I bought two pieces of Mookaite Jasper from .spencer.jewellery. I was drawn to the colour and its properties. Many say that it offers grounding and stability, confidence in decision making and a connection to nature and can help calm the mind and body.

I have another piece available that could be turned into a custom made piece, just drop me a DM if interested.

After my first Christmas Fayre I have reinvested into my little business and bought myself a Foredom Pendant Motor.

Looking forward to setting this up on my bench and spending some time over the next few weeks making some new pieces to add to my collection.

Feeling really positive and focused after my first succesful outing and hoping to get more planned in my diary for next year.

Over the next few weeks I will introduce myself more and my hopes and aspirations for 2026!

This weekend at the artisan market was truly wonderful. It was such a pleasure to be sharing everything that provides in courses and classes in their amazing studio. It is so much more than that, the tutors are inspiring, helpful and so skilled and the studio has an amazing vibe like no other I have been in and I hope I shared that this weekend.

From the moment I set up the table, I felt surrounded by creativity and warmth, and the easy rhythm of people who love handmade work. The flow of visitors was steady, and each conversation was easy.

I loved watching people pause, take something in their hands, and smile and talk about memories they had collecting seaglass. Past students stopped to share their previous course makes sharing how much they loved their class. I met fellow artisans who were generous with advice and laughter, and together we created the kind of atmosphere where everyone felt welcome just to say Hi.

By the end of the weekend, I felt tired in the best possible way— inspired, and grateful.

Today was a rest day to reflect about the new year coming up, how I hope to progress my little business, what do I want to learn in the next term in class. I love being inspired by the tutors and students alike. When people talk about doing something for you and mindfulness this is mine.

Tidying my workbench today for a little reset. I saw these little beauties and just had to have a little 'me' time. Seaglass will always be my thing!

This weekend I will be at Holden Clough Artisan Market in Bolton by Bowland with sharing information on all the various courses available at the school and what the term time students can achieve over a number of weeks.

What a fabulous gift to purchase for someone special this Christmas!

I will also have a small collection of pieces to see and purchase from myself at Tide and Treasure Jewellery.

Hope to see some of you there!

How expensive are jewellery workbenches! Luckily I have a husband who likes a challenge. From a £25 market place find to a workbench I love to work at! If only I was this tidy when I am working.

Welcome to my new business page Tide and Treasure Jewellery.

I started my jewellery journey over 12 months ago after collecting seaglass and pottery on the beaches of Anglesey and attending a one day ring making course . I was hooked and I now attend the school on a weekly term time class.

Each piece is custom made, crafted with care and shaped by the ocean's timeless spirit. I enjoy working with Seaglass, Surfite, Silver Clay and Sterling Silver.

Non of this would have been possible without the excellent teaching, support and empowerment from

I will be sharing my journey on my page over the next few weeks and also show casing some of my pieces whilst working with at a Christmas Market in December.

If you would like to discuss a custom made piece of jewellery please get in touch.
