Don't be fooled by the name of the group the Embroiderers Guild it is not exclusive to time served stitchers with city and guilds. It is there for anyone interested in textile art who wishes to meet with like-minded people or to learn something completely new. We are always looking for new members so if you are interested in crafting, fabric art or sewing why not pop along to one of our meetings.

The Largs Branch of the Embroiderers Guild meet twice a month in the evening @ 7.00pm on the first Wednesday of each month and in the afternoon @ 2.30 pm on the third Wednesday of the month. At the meetings we either work on current projects or have some very interesting guest speakers, as well as outings. One recent outing was to Glass Maker Louise Nelson's Craft Studio in West Kilbride. Approximately four or five times a year we have a Saturday class with guest tutors in a wide variety of fabric related crafts. Past classes have included needle felting, Christmas decorations, gold and silver work and fabric collage landscapes to name a few. We also have a couple of social events including an outing in spring time and a Christmas Lunch. The ladies of the branch are all very welcoming and very approachable. Not to mention have a wealth of crafting knowledge and experience. I as a relatively new member can vouch for their continued support.
