I love mixing metals. Even my engagement ring from a million years ago (slight exaggeration 🤣) is white and yellow gold. Not only does it look great but it allows you to fully wear everything in your jewellery box!

This piece is sterling silver which has been reticulated (heated over many cycles to bring the pure silver to the surface) combined with the Korean technique of Keum Boo. This is where thin 24ct gold leaf has been applied to the silver using heat, highlighting the beautiful reticulated surface!

A lovely mix of handcrafted sterling silver links with tree agate stones. Perfect to be worn alone or stacked with other pieces. The stones remind me of the more familiar moss agate- these are milky white with dark green patterns.

As we hurtle towards November, I’m mindful of building up my stock for some of my Christmas events!

Here are two new pieces which are fresh off the workbench today. Both are with sparkling Sky Blue Topaz stones which, coincidently, are November’s birthstone! 🩵

The pendant can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch and has the beautiful unique texture that the technique of reticulation brings.

Both will be available very soon although not yet priced. Do message me if you are interested as I haven’t decided if they will go into one of my stockists or I’ll keep them with me for one of my makers fairs!

Looking forward to .market this Saturday 10th October.

The market runs from 11am -4pm at Michael Hall School, Kidbrooke Park, Priory Road, Forest Row, East Sussex

This long-standing event is a fabulous mix of stalls, both inside and out (I’m inside!) and is definitely worth a visit!

I went over to yesterday to deliver some new pieces to Petworth Pop Up Shop & Boutique. This is a space within the wonderful Oakapple Trading for small, independent makers.

Oakapple Trading is located in Golden Square in the heart of Petworth, West Sussex. It’s a wonderful place! As always, I did a bit of shopping myself while I was there - a few treats for me and several birthday presents!

It’s always worth a visit!

Moss Agate, garnet and black agate necklace with silver accents.

Both these pendants have been created using the process of Reticulation where the silver is heated multiple times to create a beautiful unique texture. The stone is a white topaz.

This beautiful stone is Kyanite.

Shades of green - all in Gallery BN5 Henfield for October.

All change for October!

I have just changed my display in Gallery BN5 with some new pieces.

Each month in .bn5 we have a refresh of art and artists which means there are always new pieces to look at, buy - or just covet!

This little pendant is currently at Gallery BN5 Henfield in Henfield.

There is something incredibly beautiful about letting the metal speak for itself. This is reticulation—a technique which I’ve been playing around with a lot recently. Heat is used to intentionally wrinkle the surface of the silver, creating a miniature, wearable landscape. Every ripple is completely unrepeatable, making this piece entirely unique to whoever wears it. The beautiful single freshwater pearl adds movement.

I hope it finds a home with someone who loves it as much as I do!

Just had my final marking session with my mentor from the Jessica Rose | Jewellers Academy for the results of my Fine Jewellery Diploma!

It’s a pass or fail scenario, and I am delighted with the marks I achieved for my pass! I have learnt so much during this year-long diploma. I loved most of the projects although I have to admit working with wax and rendering designs are not for me….

I loved my final project (based on my own designs taking inspiration from Mexico) and was delighted with the final result of the garnet and topaz gold and silver cluster ring. This was the project that persuaded me to take the course - and (surprise, surprise) it’s my size!

Now what’s next….?

I will be in the Craft Tent for this Saturday’s Albourne Village show. Do pop along!
