Frosty River Walk - framed original oil on aluminium

Nothing better than a frosty day with clear blue skies! Wrapped up warm but walking out in the fresh air! Some of my favourite days.

I love the added dimension that painting on aluminium gives - the added fluorescence to the paint and the ability to leave areas that create a reflective surface picking up the changing light during the day so you can imagine you are on that river bank.

I am exhibiting this original painting in the upcoming Guildford Art Society Exhibition 31st July to 9th August (10am - 6pm).

There is a stunning place in Merrow Guildford (Surrey) which stuns me every time I see it. A magnificent avenue of beech trees. In autumn when the leaves fall it is so vibrant and beautiful. I have just completed this oil painting with my interpretation of it.
Haven’t posted for a while but a lot more coming soon.
