Whilst fused glass making dates back to Ancient Egypt it really became established as part of the Studio Craft movement which began in the 1960’s. Over the last sixty years it has grown in popularity world-wide particularly in the UK and has become much more complex and sophisticated technically during the last 55 years.
In our shop opposite The Works in Princes Mead Shopping Centre Farnborough Town Centre we have local glass artist Esther Madden Glass whose glass takes many forms including tealights, waves, pictures cards, jewellery, birds and suncatchers. There are even mini plants made entirely from glass.
She also runs popular workshops with one this weekend focusing on making a flower meadow. See our website for more details.
