Our hearts are broken 💔 our beautiful and handsome boy Patrick has gone. He made it to nearly 19 but due to illness he was reunited with his brother Ebbie. Feeling fruity?!! I have these beautiful fruity numbers for sale. The strawberry has been flush set with a black diamond. The pomegranate has 3 flush set rubies and the lemon is solid silver made using the lost wax technique. The background is a lovely orange decorative plate for sale .spaldingstudio

I think this is possibly the nicest piece of cheese I've ever seen! Made using the lost wax technique where in this case the blue wax has been made into silver and the wax has melted. A beautiful one of a kind piece of jewellery that I absolutely loved making ❤️

From drawings to my designs in wax. Most of my ideas start of as drawings or rather doodles. My forget me not is just the first one. I will be creating more and turning them into a collection of pieces. The ring and pendant being 2 of them. I'm super excited about these! This is what you are paying for. The hours you don't see. Drawings, rubbing out, drawings, rubbing out again. Carving in wax, melting it then having to start again. Making sure everything is just how you want it. You aren't just paying for the end result, you are paying for the years of learning, the time it took to make and the materials that are used.

I'm the face behind GCS Designs. I create all the jewellery you see on here. I may look healthy and happy but nothing could be further from the truth. I suffer daily with Fibromyalgia. So the jewellery you buy from me will have at some point caused me pain, especially in my hands. This means any purchase you make means so much more because it makes all the pain worthwhile.

For those that don't know, I absolutely adore bats. Today is bat appreciation day and I believe that they are beautiful and are a very much misunderstood creature that are so much more than Halloween and Vampires. Many bat species pollinate flowers and disperse seeds, which help to regenerate forests. They also help to control our insect population. They are vital to our food supply and are generally very clean and believe it or not, they have excellent eye sight!

I had the pleasure of working with wildlife (many moons ago!) And I had the privilege of hand feeding a baby Pipistrelle. It fitted in the palm of my hand, it was so small. Once it regained it's strength, I was allowed to carry it in a box on the bus on the way home and realise it back into the wild from my house. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to do this and will always be a fond memory. For me to not be scared of bats is quite something, as I'm scared of most things! But to me bats are very special and deserve more recognition than they get 🦇❤️
