This is my bunting for Open Studios, which starts today in North East Scotland. I'll be in my studio all week making woolies for the autumn/winter and you are invited to see machine knitting in action. There are studios ad workshops open all over the area and you can find out more on the northeastopenstudios.co.uk website or get the App. Great chance to satisfy your creative curiosities if you ever wondered what creatives do in their workshops.

North East Open Studios (that's NE Scotland) happens again 7th-15th September and though I'm woefully under-prepared, my studio will be open for folks like you who might be interested in seeing the process of machine knitting in action.

Here's this year's yellow book! The most sought out little directory on creatives' shelves. *And*, our local trailmap for an easy-to-follow day out in my local area. On the trail this year are a great mix of potters, painters, jewellers, glass & textile artists. One trailmap to tick all the arts & crafts! 😁

It's been a long time since a collection of Black Sheep Knits have been on public display in Edinburgh. And for 2 weekends they get to hang out with family. We're so chuffed to be doing this together.

The next creative showcase being held at our Gallery is 'Rock and a Soft Place' - a sister-mother-daughter collaborative exhibition; showcasing the works of Linda Colquhoun (a.k.a Black Sheep Studio ), Diane McDonald (a.k.a Pebbledash Jewellery ) and Jennifer Colquhoun (a.k.a The Illustrated Lab ).

The exhibition brings together the three practices of jewellery, knitwear & design and scientific illustration in an unusual chance to see works by one creative family.

'Rock and a Soft Place' is open 11-4pm both Saturday and Sunday, for this weekend (29/30 October), and the next (5/6 November).
