Five years ago, I said goodbye to my full time job, where I’d spent more than ten years surrounded by wonderful people who supported me. I’ll always be grateful for that. Ragamuffin Edinburgh
I had no idea what would come next. Leaving the comfort of a familiar place and setting out to build a small jewellery business was a huge decision.
My daughter had just turned five, and there was so much I couldn’t yet know. But I felt drawn to create. I trusted that my passion would help me find my way and bring me closer to doing what I truly love.
This year also marks twenty years together with my partner, Grzesiek. What began as a friendship has grown into a life we continue to share.
After a year together in Poland, our decision to move to Scotland in 2007 took courage. We didn’t know exactly what lay ahead, but we believed life had more to offer.
There have been peaceful, joyful days filled with love and laughter, as well as tears and quieter moments. Through it all, we keep finding our way back to one another, making space for the conversations that aren’t always easy but matter.
We’re both self-employed, so we know that building something of your own takes more than hard work it takes patience, courage and heart. Grzesiek has been an upholsterer for over 30 years, turning his craft into a lifelong profession. Greg Upholstery
