PopDundee

PopDundee POPDUNDEE is a collection of Dundee based art students who aim to breath life into the city streets through Pop-up shops selling and promoting artwork.

POPDUNDEE began when three animation students sharing the same vision banded together to create a means for students & young artists to make selling & promoting their artwork easier, less daunting and more fun! We believe presenting these kind of opportunities not only allows the public the chance to purchase local and exclusive artwork, but also gives students and young artists to opportunity to

develop their confidence and entrepreneurial skills. This page is where we will post updates on up-coming shops and events. If you are an artist who is interested to take part in one of our shops, feel free to message this page! We welcome all artistic fields, from jewellery to illustration, textiles to fine art.

To PopDundee fans & followers,

Over a year after graduation, Vicky & Ashling (that's us!) have began making the first big steps towards our professional industry careers, and while there are some exciting projects and opportunities up ahead of us, we're sad to say that we are currently unable to take PopDundee along with us on our journeys.

We'd like to thank our friends, families, and most importantly YOU for the ongoing support for PopDundee! What started out as a week-long project for uni became so much more for us – an opportunity to network with other artists, a place to build entrepreneurial minds, and an invaluable experience for ourselves within Dundee's creative community.

We wish you all the best of luck with your futures – Onwards up upwards!

Many thanks,
The PopDundee Team
(Ashling & Vicky)

Yesterday was a blast, and we're so grateful to everyone who contributed in making it so much fun!
Here's what you've been waiting for - our photos from Saturday's event! Go ahead and tag yourself and your friends!

We just wanted to put out a huge thank you to everyone who was involved with this event, as it may be our last one for a while;
We're only a small team of two fresh animation graduates, and the support that everyone has given us has been SO overwhelming. We run PopDundee without funding or financial aid and continue to organise these pop-up shops because we have a huge passion for helping up & coming artists break though and to get their work out there; as artists ourselves we know how daunting it can be!
Thank you to the artists who participate and bring with them such a good vibe, you provide such a great atmosphere at our events and it's fantastic to see artists networking, talking about their craft and sharing tips! Thank you to the customers who come along and support local talent, and give great feedback for us organisers. Thank you to Clean Little Eats : naturally nutritious bakes for always providing the best quality catering as well as managing to pull off some amazing culinary tricks following our themed events - We don't know how you do it! And thank you to The Circle Dundee, for giving us a space for our events that is so unique and malleable for whatever kind of event we hold – We really appreciate how much you encourage us with PopDundee and how well you collaborate with us in advertising the events!

It's coming up two years since our first ever event and we've enjoyed running every last one since. We're sad that our events may not be as regular from here on out, but we hope that everyone's continued support follows on, and our next event (whenever it may be) is bigger and better than before! ❤
