So very trueโฆ I truly hope 2026 brings relief to those suffering ๐บ๐ฆ
Good evening, beloved witches and moonlit wanderers...
2025 is gone...
and I'm not going to pretend this year was easy.
It wasn't.
Wars raged.
Democracies fractured.
People died who shouldn't have died.
Rights were stripped.
Hate won too many battles.
The vulnerable were crushed under boots that should have protected them.
And if you're reading this
feeling exhausted, heartbroken, furious...
You should be.
Because 2025 took things from us
that we'll never get back.
But here's what I know about witches:
๐ช๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด.
Which doesn't mean we are unbreakable.
Which doesn't mean we aren't touched by the horror.
But still... we refuse
to let the smallness be the only light.
So tonight...
the night before the year turns...
I'm asking you to light a candle.
A simple, real candle.
Light it for everyone who's suffering.
For the people in Gaza, in Ukraine, in Sudan,
in every place where bombs fall and children hide.
Light it for the refugees turned away at borders.
For the trans kids fighting for their right to exist.
For the women whose bodies are no longer their own.
Light it for the exhausted,
the grieving,
the ones still fighting battles
they shouldn't have to fight.
And when you light it, say this:
"I see you.
I haven't looked away.
Your suffering is not invisible to me.
I hold vigil with you tonight."
Then let the candle burn
for as long as you can keep watch.
An hour. All night. However long you have.
Because this is what witches do:
We refuse to normalize the horror.
We refuse to just "move on"
and "think positive"
and "manifest abundance"
while people are dying.
We hold space for the grief.
We keep vigil for the suffering.
We name what's broken instead of pretending it's fine.
And yes...
we also tend our own light.
We also protect our own magick.
We also fight for joy and rest and beauty.
But never, ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ,
at the cost of our humanity.
So light your candle tonight, witch.
Hold vigil for what this year has taken.
Refuse to let the suffering be invisible.
And tomorrow...
when the year turns...
carry that flame forward.
Because the world needs witches
who see clearly,
who grieve honestly,
who refuse to look away
even when it hurts.
We stay resilient.
We stay standing.
We stay ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ.
๐ฏ๏ธ
With a candle burning and my heart still breaking and my spine still straight,
Blessed 2026, witches.
