We have recently held the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze test and were delighted when all 12 dogs taking their test passed.
They all received winning certificates issued by the Kennel Club, rosettes and a special disc for their dogs to wear on their collars.

Thanet Dog Obedience Group continues to help owners teach their dogs to be well behaved. We are a Kennel Club listed and insured pet dog training club, meeting on Tuesday evenings at the Memorial hall, St. Peter’s, Broadstairs where dogs and their owners learn to train their dogs and in the later class often also do some agility with weaving poles and small jumps. Pre booking is essential, as at present we have a short waiting list. Contact Pauline , preferably by email ([email protected]) or phone 01843 225801.

Baby puppy class. (puppies up to six months) 6.30 to 7.10 pm
Intermediate class (puppies over 6 months and adult dogs). 7.15 to 8.00 pm
Improvers (dogs considered ready for more advanced work) 8.10 to 9.00 pm

Team Test Night on December 18th. Always a fun night for all.

This is the last club night of 2018 and we will start again on 8th January 2019.

There is a price increase in the new year to £4 per dog.

Tuesdays 1830-2115

Puppy Class: 1830- 1910
Beginners Class: 1915 - 2000
Improvers Class: 2015 - 2115

£4.00 per dog per class. You will be asked to pay £16 per dog for your first 4 weeks on enrolment.

Hi all. I received this message today;
Good morning
I am running a charity ecvening for a two year old Saint Bernard who needs a life saving operation

I am a Trustee of the Saint Bernard Trust. I am hosting a fun quiz evening on Friday 20th February 2015 for a poorly Saint Bernard aged just 2 years old needing a life saving operation. The evening is being held at St. Peters Memorial Hall Hopeveille Avenue St. Peters opposite the small co-op between 7 30 p.m. and about 10 - 10.30p.m. The cost is £8.00 to include a plated buffet but bring your own beverage and a cup or glass to drink from.
The situation arose when the dog had some x-rays, the owner was taken into hospital himself for an operation and when he returned home the insurance on the dog had expired. the company refused to re-new the policy saying it would have to be a new policy and that the condition would therefore be pre-existing and not covered. The St. Bernard Trust are loaning the owner, a pensioner £1500 which he has to re-pay and the £2000 balance he has to pay the vet and I am trying to help him raise this money. If you and your members or anyone you know can come along we will be very grateful. Please e-mail me [email protected] as soon as possible and in any case by Tuesday 17th if you would like the buffet and I will put a name on a ticket for you which you can collect at the door. Otherwise please still come but the plated buffet will not be guaranteed.
