What started at age nine as a shared hobby with her dad has grown into a passionate competitive shooting career for Lara Dale. Guided by that early inspiration, Lara quickly transitioned from casual rounds into an elite competitor on the international stage.

Her dedication has earned her prestigious 🇬🇧GB and 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿England badges in Olympic S***t, alongside an England badge in English Sporting. Competing at the highest levels, Lara has proudly represented her country and secured silver medals🥈 for the England team at the World Championships in English Sporting events. 💥

When it came to upgrading her equipment, finding the perfect sh***un happened almost by chance🪙. After getting the opportunity to test-fire a Zoli, Lara immediately fell in love 🫶with how the gun felt and handled. From that first experience on the layout, she never looked back—gaining more confidence with every shot and proving that Zoli was the perfect fit for her journey.

"The lack of recoil and the balance of the gun are two of the biggest things for me. The gun feels comfortable and natural, which allows me to stay focused on the target and shoot consistently without fighting the gun.

My goal is to keep going as I am, continue improving and hopefully win a major title in English Sporting before moving into another discipline🤞. Ultimately, I’d love to earn another GB or England badge in a different discipline. I want to keep challenging myself, competing at the highest level and see how far I can take my shooting."

Thomas Burns’s journey in clay pigeon shooting began at age 12 at Park Farm, inspired by a simple desire to shoot "just like dad." By 13, he was already competing across the UK in DTL and Sporting disciplines.

That early commitment quickly translated into major competitive success. At just 17, Thomas claimed both the Junior and A-Class Champion titles at the Krieghoff Masters 🏆, alongside an impressive second-place overall finish🥈. He later capped off his junior career with a Gold medal🥇 at the French Grand Prix and recently made history as the first-ever Olympic Trap representative for his home island of Jersey at the Home Internationals. 👏

When it came to choosing his next sh***un, Thomas found a perfect match in Zoli. For him, it’s all about the emotional connection to the craftsmanship—the authentic Italian passion built into the gun, combined with the welcoming, close-knit family atmosphere that Paolo and the Zoli team bring to the sport.

Since then, the rise has been meteoric—from winning Junior Team Gold in 2022 and becoming a Junior World Champion, to a recent standout performance in Morocco. The Hull Pro One Challenge 2026 💥

Zoli UK have been in attendance from 5th – 9th August at Barbury Shooting School for the Hull Pro One Challenge 2026. We’ve serviced guns 🧰for existing customers, spoke to countless people about the Zoli range and discussed the incredibly enjoyable course the team at Barbury set up for over 1200 competitors to take on!

After the dust settled and the competition had finished, we’re proud to say we had a couple of podium finishes for Zoli UK shooters! 😃

Nigel Hart finished on an incredible score of 113/120 and taking home the silver medal🥈in the Veterans category! 👏

Lara Dale managed a double podium, taking the silver medal 🥈in Ladies as well as taking another silver 🥈medal A class after countback with an impressive score of 108/120! 👏

Congratulations both on fantastic results and best of luck for the remainder of the season! 👏👏
