Wonderful skies tonight. Its such a blessing to be able to walk to the beach daily. We are very fortunate to live here in this amazing part of the world.

I never thought I would say this.

But walking completely changed the way I see Cádiz.

What started as short walks (because I had to 😉),
slowly became something I couldn’t live without.

Along empty beaches.
Through cork oak forests.
On quiet trails where you only hear the wind and your own footsteps.

And somewhere along the way, something shifted.

I started to see differently.
Slower. More aware. More curious.

I began writing down these walks.
And now they are part of our anniversary magazine.

For me, this is Cádiz:
not the crowds, but the space in between.

'Éste Domingo 22 de marzo hay una reunión para algo importante: cuidar y proteger dos especies muy valiosas de nuestra zona, el chorlitejo y el camaleón.

🕙 Hora: 10:00
📍 Lugar: Restaurante La Kalima (Zahora)

La idea es sencilla: juntarnos como comunidad, compartir, aprender y pasar a la acción.

Durante el encuentro:
– Haremos una breve introducción sobre estas especies y cómo podemos protegerlas
– Realizaremos una recogida de basura por la playa, desde Zahora hasta Caños
– Habrá actividades y talleres (también para niños)
💚 Es un encuentro abierto para todas las personas que sienten esta tierra como suya y quieren cuidarla.

Te animamos a venir, a participar y también a compartir este mensaje para que llegue a más gente. Cuantos más seamos, mayor será el impacto.

The sun's out. The storms have passed. The weather is gorgeous...The nature's stunning.
But:
The beach is a mess 😭😭😭
So I take a bag with me and pick up a few pieces each day... Some days more, some days less. But i never leave the beach empty handed. Its my way of saying thank you for having me here.

😢😢😢so much plastic on the beach today. I will have to take binbags again because after summer the council removes all the bins again. (Not the smartest thing to do if you want people to help keep your beaches clean... and next i found a plastic bag. Check out the ironical text on it...
