Creating bespoke pieces that tell your story✨
Commission your dream design Hi!

I’m Laura S. Urbina, a Spanish aerospace engineer PhD turned embroidery artist, now based in southern France. I’ve always had a passion for both science and art. Though I initially pursued the "secure" path of engineering, the absence of the creative spark that truly drives me weighed heavily on my heart. I felt disconnected from my true self and my core values. Finding the courage to change my li

fe’s trajectory, I trained in embroidery art at École Lesage and Studio Eyral, eventually founding Delta V Creations—my own studio (or lab, as I like to call it). Here, I combine my scientific perspective with the precision of embroidery, focusing on the geometric beauty and the almost-magical workings that surround us. It’s about uncovering the hidden beauty that exists when we take the time to truly observe. Sharing knowledge is a core value of mine, so I also create educational content to help others rediscover joy and mindfulness through embroidery. I offer a meditative space where they can slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and express themselves through the delicate art of embroidery—a true bubble of freedom. I invite you to join me on this creative journey and discover the beauty of embroidery for yourself.

From my hands to yours ✨

-

🇬🇧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩: Each piece is designed, created and signed by my hand — from first sketch to final stitch.

-

In a world of speed and outsourcing, I have chosen another path 🙅🏼‍♀️

Every piece that leaves my studio is conceived, designed, and embroidered by me 👩🏼‍🦰 — here, in Toulouse (France).

From the first pencil line to the final stitch, I remain accountable for every decision.
Material.
Technique.
Proportion.
Finish.

Nothing is delegated.
Nothing is anonymous.

✨ When you acquire one of my works, you know exactly where it comes from.
You know whose hands shaped it.
You know the standards behind it.

This is what authorship means to me:
Not ego.
But responsibility 💛

Responsibility for the story.
For the ex*****on.
For the longevity of the piece.

If you are considering acquiring a work — or commissioning a bespoke piece — you can simply write to me.
I will guide you personally through the process ✨

Because when something is authored,
it deserves a direct conversation.

Some pieces decorate. Others become part of you 💫

🇬🇧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩: Embroidery designed to be lived with — not displayed, but embodied.

-

When I create, I do it to express a story.
To translate a feeling into form.

When I create an embroidered piece, I don’t think in terms of product.
I think in terms of presence.

How it will move with a body.
How it will inhabit a space.
How it will quietly express something about the person who chose it ✨

My work is not seasonal decoration.
It is contemporary arts & crafts shaped to last — emotionally and materially.

High-end craftsmanship is not about excess.
It is about coherence.

A motif is conceived once, with depth and structure, and then expressed across forms.
Scarf. Kimono. Artwork. Object.

The support changes.
👉🏼 The language remains.

This is what I call Art-à-Porter ✨

Not fashion.
Not ornament.
But a piece that becomes part of your visual vocabulary.

For those who do not collect objects —
but meaning 💛

Mastery ✨ Or the art of knowing where to stop.

-

🇬🇧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩: Mastery in hand embroidery is built on absolute control of gesture and materials.

-

In embroidery, mastery is rarely about adding more.
It’s about restraint.

🧵 About knowing when a stitch is enough — and when one bead too many would break the balance.
Every piece I create is built through a series of precise decisions.
Tension.
Spacing.
Direction.
Feeling 💛

Nothing is left to chance.

I work this way because embroidery, at this level, is not improvisation.
It is a disciplined dialogue between hand, material, and intention.

As an embroiderer — and as an engineer — I know that every deviation shows.
A fraction of a millimetre changes the whole perception.
✨ So I work slowly, deliberately, with absolute control of gesture and material.

What you see as simplicity is the result of mastery.
What feels effortless is, in reality, carefully constructed.

❌ This is not about perfection.
✅ It is about coherence.

And when mastery is present, you don’t notice the work.
You only perceive balance ✨

Embroidery is my language 🪡

-

🇬🇧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩: Embroidery as my language: each piece I create is an authored work where story becomes motif.

-

🧵 Embroidery is a universal language.
It doesn’t matter whether you speak English, French, or Spanish.
When something speaks to you 💛, you feel it immediately.

That is how I approach embroidery.
I don’t embroider to decorate.
I embroider to ✨ say something ✨

Each piece I create is an interpretation of a story, a concept, or an emotion —
translated into fabric through embroidery.

👉🏼 This is why I speak of authored embroidery.

My work is technical, precise, and demanding.
But technique is only the foundation.
Thread, beads, and structure are never applied for effect.
They are chosen deliberately, to express something that cannot be said otherwise.

Embroidery can be learned.
What takes a lifetime is translating feelings, experiences, and stories into fabric —
with clarity and restraint.

This is where my notion of ✨ Art-à-Porter comes from.
A motif is conceived once, with depth and coherence, and then expressed across different supports.
What matters is not the object — it is the story the motif carries 💫

For me, embroidery is not ornament.
It is my language.

If this resonates with you 💛, tell me in the comments what embroidery means to you.
