On the coast of the Baltic Sea, people used bronze spirals both as jewellery and decorative elements on garments. This

was in the first half of the first millenium. In creating jewellery, I have travelled back in time, but not in the sense of making the bronze spirals just as they used to be. Rather, I hope to bring back an old and well forgotten craft, the memory that has been erased. To bring an old story through time and shape it so that it will fit into present day:)

Võiks nagu arvata, et metall on tugev ja villane lõng õrn ja pehme materjal. Aga töö käigus selgub, et kui lõnga pole piisavalt, võib metalltraadist spiraal oma kuju kaotada. Kui lõng pole küllalt tugev, võib metall osutuda pehmeks .. Niiet kumb siis see tugev on? Tegelikult vahet ju pole, sest just KOOS annavad nad lummava tugevpehme tulemuse.

Pronksspiraalid olid Läänemere ümbruse maades kasutusel nii ehetes kui ka rõivakaunistusena esimese aastatuhande esimesel poolel. Oma ehete tegemisel pole ma ajas tagasi läinud mitte mõtte ja sooviga teha neid sellistena nagu nad olid siis, vaid pigem tahtmisega tuua vana ja hästi äraunustatud oskus, too kustutatud mälu ja ammune lugu, läbi aja tänasesse päeva, siia olema ja sobima:)
