You may have noticed (or not) the lack of crochet going on in my Insta world in the last year. Basically, I haven’t picked up a hook in almost 12 months!
There are a few reasons I guess. I started a cool new job last year, going back to full time work for the first time since Raina was born, and I didn’t really have the space to fit crochet in for a while. I also lacked inspiration to come up with new ideas and zero brain space to write patterns. It’s much easier to doom scroll like a zombie and consume content instead of creating it!
I have knit a few things though! I’m working on Tammy’s Bloom between the lines, and have made some socks, but creatively, I’m doing other stuff. Like paint by numbers, or water colour doodling. And I’m hopefully going to start a pottery class in September!
It seems though, that my outlet has really become running. Not often, and not far or fast, but man, those endorphins are addictive! Not to mention the sense of achievement when I run a new PR or distance!
