Not possible to silversmith without using too much effort 😂 There are so many little steps, 95% of those being tedious preparatory steps necessary before doing the fun stuff like soldering. I wouldn’t change it though! It makes the finished product so much better knowing all the extra miles that went in.

So excited to share some new pieces soon!

Ladies, come celebrate “Galentine’s Day” and tap into your own magic! Design & create your own gorgeous necklace using gemstones, mixed metals and other unique materials. We will start by nourishing ourselves with delicious snacks, and enjoying beverages of your choice (bubbly, wine, mocktails or pipas). After everyone’s been fed we will circle up in our makers space, where I’ll guide you through a short creativity exercise and visualization to help inspire your design. Then it’s time to create! I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way, teaching some basic skills while leaving space for your unique self expression. Music and good conversation will accompany you as you bead, wrap and weave your way to your new favorite necklace- you’ll leave with something truly special to adorn yourself with or gift to a friend!

Keychain Making Workshop for Kids!
Saturday, January 17th
10:00 - 11:30 am
At Birdie Studio, Orotina

Join us for this fun and creative workshop, and make your own keychain for your keys or backpack! We will start out with games designed to break the ice and get the inspiration flowing. Next, the kids will design and build their own keychains, choosing from different beads, strings, fabrics, gemstones, charms, tassels and more. After everyone is finished we will clean up, close with another fun activity, and give out a special gift for participating. This workshop is designed to help each child tap into their own creative process and express their unique vision and style. Space is limited- please message me directly to reserve your child’s spot!

Setting these stones was a practice in moving meditation. If my mind wanders, my hand is way more likely to slip, so it’s important to stay totally present. I didn’t know that silversmithing would be such a lesson in mindfulness, but I’m happy with the unintended benefits 😃
