La Débouche [THE TRIP]

From February 2017, we are embarking on a 5-month wine & food trip around Latin America. Our objective? And tell their stories.

Meet all the people behind organic, biodynamic and natural wine in this region - winemakers of course, but also chefs, sommeliers, importers... Everyone involved, really! And while we're at it, we will also do our best to uncover many other food gems we come across: one-of-a-kind producers, craft drinks makers, traditional and modern recipes, street food classics, etc...

Val Benoist & Chach Salmon, a 30-something French couple passionate about wine (obviously). Living in London, we’ve decided to take some time off to travel around Latin America following this theme. Door to the Zona cafetera, Salento is a neat little colonial town. We’re in low season, but you can easily see how crowded it must be the rest of the time. No little bus here, but the Willy’s, US jeeps used during the Second World War will pile people up and take you to the coffee farms and the Cocora valley ☕️🌴
