Yosuke-San is unveiling his 2026 novelty today: a collection crafted in a material that has never before been used in his Le Locle workshop: yellow gold.

Yosuke-San is also revealing a dial that represents the technical continuation of the previous version, with a dial cut from solid gold using an extremely fine milling cutter, this time bringing stylized Arabic numerals to light.

The dial remains in grand feu enamel, and Yosuke-San’s artistry is, as always, applied by his hand alone on the movement side.

Yesterday was a day of immense emotion for Yosuke-san.

What greater gift to close the year than the ultimate consecration for a self-taught watchmaker.

“When I arrived in a little bit more than twenty years ago, without a watchmaking diploma, it was difficult for me to imagine that one day I would have the legitimacy to establish myself independently and create my own watches. Later, despite years of relentless work, it was even harder to imagine that I might one day receive kind attention and positive words from those I consider true masters and geniuses of

Without knowing each other beyond a certain distance, Mr. spoke positively about me and my work to people within the industry, and even to clients. Earlier this year, I finally gathered the courage to visit him and present my watch.

His wife and he welcomed me with great warmth. What followed was one of the most emotional moments of my life, when they said to me:
“Yosuke, this piece is extraordinary. We would like to acquire one. What must we do to have one ?”

From that day on, I imagined nothing but this moment: the day I would deliver my Primevère watch to Mr. Philippe Dufour. That day has now come.

My wife and my friend Jason accompanied me to witness what, to me, represents the ultimate blessing: one that is worth more than any other award a watchmaker could hope for in seeing his work at the bench recognized.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Dufour.
Thank you to my family, my friends, my clients, and to everyone who believes in me.”

With this message of happiness and gratitude, the entire Yosuke Sekiguchi team wishes you all a wonderful holiday season, surrounded by those you love.

Very warmly,
The YS Team

It all began when Yosuke-San decided to create his own timepiece, entirely hand-crafted as it would have been a century ago, without the aid of computers or CNC machines. Wishing to pay tribute to Jules Jürgensen, he designed his own movement, drawing inspiration from the master’s architectural principles. Shown here are the first main plate and bridges, hand-cut by Yosuke-San in his former atelier, located just above his apartment in Le Locle.

Yosuke-San envisioned a new interpretation of his Primevère: a highly exclusive edition of 5 pieces:
crafted in white gold and distinguished by a pristine white grand feu enamel dial with blued stainless steel hands. While tradition continues to anchor his creations, this edition embodies an elegant and contemporary harmony, offering a refined freshness to his timeless artistry.

Like many other components, Yosuke-San now produces his parts in his new workshop in Le Locle. Here, after cutting the escape wheel, he devotes countless hours to beveling and executing every aesthetic and technical finish with uncompromising quest for uniqueness.

Yosuke Sekiguchi Primere 2025

With the first deliveries of his new Primere, Yosuke Sekiguchi once again proves that independence in watchmaking is not only about doing everything alone, but also about knowing which deserve the best specialist partners and which parts of the process demand your own hands.
A few steps in production are entrusted to exceptional artisans, each one a master in their respective craft ; yet, the heart and soul of the Primere remain undeniably Yosuke-san’s.
He is still the only person who assembles, decorates, and adjusts each timepiece. Every bridge, every wheel, every screw, every hairspring : touched and refined by him alone. “It’s not about the perfection, because I’m not perfect. But I put a little bit of my soul in every single timepiece I produce, as I think that it’s the best gift I can offer to collectors.”

There is no team. No production line. Just one man in his atelier, working at his own limits, from 8am to 11pm. With a maximum capacity of 15 watches per year, each Primere is as rare as the dedication behind it.

This is not just watchmaking.
It’s the art of pouring one’s life into 15 timepieces a year.
