Hello everyone 👋🏞

I'm still here! Just been keeping busy with this custom orders for the past 2 months. I made these 2 medallions that have bolo ties as the attachments this time. They are for the University of Manitoba's Indigenous Circle of Empowerment's two students who have reached their 3rd year in the leadership program.

They were both made entirely of size 15 beads, so all you who know how small these are you know it took awhile lol. Using the smaller beads is how you can make very intricate and detailed work in logos such as these.

It was a pleasure making these for the two 3rd year students as I was in the first cohort of this program and am happy to see how it has evolved with a name and logo change this year. It is now Bison Circle or Paskwamostos Wawiyaw.

Hi everyone! 2025 was a big year for me, I married the love of my life in early November and wanted to share the mukluks, earring and barrettes I made for our special day.

The mukluks were the warmest on the cold day it turned out to be. Only our faces were cold when taking pictures outside. Both pairs were made with polished white moose hide, white rabbit fur, and beaded vamps, a turtle and a bear paw, as I'm turtle clan and my husband is bear clan. His mukluks were shorter on the stack while mine went a bit higher.

For my earrings and barrettes I used a crystal aqua size 11 seed beads for the center of the flowers. Each petal has a beautiful eggshell luster size 11 seed beads with porcupine quills in the center.

I wanted my earrings to be big and beautiful and they were 😍. Two flowers on each earring connected together with 3 strands of imitation pearls that hung down from the bottom flower. P.s. they were not heavy in the ears! Polished white moose hide for the backing.

I opted to not wear a traditional wedding dress and instead wore one from Anne Mulaire that I was eyeing for over a year. Also wore one of their jackets for the outdoor photos.

Had to cover my ears too, and found the warmest earmuffs from Bill worb furs.

Can't wait to see what 2026 has to offer!

We raised $351 for donations this year! Thank you everyone who reached out and purchased a poppy. I'll reopen the sale next Saturday for next year's donation as I have a few left.

I'll be making a $251 donation to Indspire's Indigenous Veterans Fund, and $100 to the next legion poppy donation box I see.

It's time for my annual poppy fundraiser!

Just like in years past, once I'm sold out I won't have anymore available until next year. New this year is I'll be closing the sale of poppies on November 5th, or earlier if I sell out.

Since Canada Post is having a strike, I will still ship them across Canada until October 20th, with a $14 fee for tracked shipping. I can't guarantee it will arrive on time.

Local drop offs in Winnipeg will be free.

Prices are marked on each picture. A few were sold earlier, the ones with the red X are already gone. Will update next week what is still available.

Remember, 30% of each poppy is going for donations to Indspire Indigenous Veterans fund, and local legions in Winnipeg.

Loving how this matte sea green is looking!

Can you see my pen marks on the stiffened felt? That's how I judge how far apart the petals will be in my 5 petal flowers. All freehanded.

Was going for red but have 3 shades of pink. I did take scoops of them out at 3 different times. Tried dyeing some of the quills i cleaned a few years ago and used a different dye than Rit. I am still happy with the results and looking forward to using these in earrings and other items!

Was honored to make a medallion for the Indigenous Circle of Empowerment this year for one of their students who have been in the program for 3 years.

Indigenous Circle of Empowerment or ICE is an Indigenous leadership program at the University of Manitoba. It started in 2009, I was part of the first cohort of students learning leadership skills, including public speaking, volunteering, and learning from other leaders in the community.

This is the 2nd ICE medallion I've made. The first one was back in 2020. If you look back on my timeline, you can see the difference between the 2 and how 5 years has improved my skills.
