There's a bit more to it than that 🙂 but we do love working with wood folks send to us. It makes a ring that much more special when it's made from the branch of a tree you love. An old apple tree from the family place, a branch you picked up on a romantic hike; lots of possibilities.

Touch Wood Rings are made from branch woods - we have hundreds of different woods available, some of it from folks who sent their own wood and happily left the remainder with us to offer to other people.

Have you ever wandered in an apple orchard, or sat under an apple tree in apple blossom time?

APPLE is considered a feminine wood. It draws off the elements of earth and water. In Celtic mythology, Apple speaks of wholeness, love, and goodwill. It has been considered a symbol of creativity and an emblem of art and poetry.

WILD APPLE (aka Crabapple) is the original apple tree. They are the tree from which all cultivated varieties of apples were developed. Wild apples always grow from seed and each one is genetically unique, potentially tougher, and better adapted to local conditions than cultivars. Wild Apple is the tree of youth, joy, magic, and surprise. Believing that anything is possible!

You are always welcome to send your own wood or to use our wood, or combine some of yours with wood David has on his shelves. There are so many options.

Well, a bit west of Williams Lake 😊 in the Chilcotin Forest, but we consider Williams Lake ‘home’. We shop and do our business there and our post office is in Williams Lake. This photo was from a Small Business BC promotion of the Cariboo a few years ago.
