100+ Women Who Care Victoria

100+ Women Who Care Victoria 100+ Women Who Care Victoria is a giving circle designed to make an immediate, direct, and positive impact on local charities in our community.

100+ Women Who Care Victoria is designed to make an immediate, direct, and positive effect on the lives of our neighbours by bringing together 100+ women in Victoria who care about local community causes and who are committed to community service. We meet as a group for one hour and jointly select a local charity or not-for-profit organization after hearing passionate speeches from three members/c

harity nominators who are randomly selected by draw at the meeting. Every member writes a $100 cheque to the selected organization and watches how the group's commitment turns into an impactful financial donation. Do that four times per year and witness the power of numbers when we come together for the common goal of improving the lives of our neighbours.

While the votes were being tallied, we heard from the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. A heartfelt thank you for their incredible efforts to help bring the Da Vinci surgical system to women’s healthcare in our region.

This investment in advanced surgical technology will support better care, improved outcomes, and greater access to minimally invasive procedures for women in our community. Thank you for continuing to make healthcare innovation a priority for Vancouver Island patients and families.

We’ll share more photos and videos in the coming days. See you all in August for the next meeting. 🧡

What a thrill to be invited by Dr. Mazgani to see the DaVinci machine and learn about its benefits when the February meeting donation was delivered to the Victoria Hospital Foundation.

What an incredible tool! The DaVinci machine is a widely used robotic platform for minimally invasive surgery, enabling complex procedures through small incisions. Controlled entirely by a surgeon at a console, the DaVinci machine provides high-definition 3D visualization and superior instrument dexterity, reducing recovery times and trauma compared to open surgery.

Given the benefits the DaVinci will bring to women’s surgical procedures, how reassuring it is to know that we have such a richness of medical resources to draw upon, here in Victoria, should you ever need it.

There is so much work yet to be done to advance research and medical care for women, and 100+ Women Victoria is proud to help further the cause by contributing to this amazing piece of equipment.

Thank you to each of you who donated $100 at the last meeting; collectively, YOU raised $32,800 for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation!!
