⚠️ I am signing off for the evening but the Country Meadows Fire continues to threaten the Clodfelter corridor southwest of Kennewick.

Everyone in this general area should stay aware of the situation. Here are the evacuation codes we use in Washington and Oregon.

Area fire units have been working on controlling a large area cover fire in the area of Clodfelter Rd in between Locust Grove Rd and Ridgeline Dr. The road is temporarily closed to thru traffic while fire personnel tend to residences still compromised.

As of now, the affected area is approximately 2000 acres with only about 10% of the area “contained”. Due to aircraft assets in the area assisting in controlling the fire, please refrain from flying any drones as they can impede aircraft in completing their mission.

Please find an alternative route through the area!

🔥 17:45 Saturday - MAJOR update. Level 3 (Go Now) evacuation order for the Clodfelter corridor from I-82 to Locust Grove including Tripple Vista. Fire is estimated at 1500-2000 acres.
