I am the owner of Hope Heals Counselling and we are happy and excited to introduce to you to our new online jewellery shop Ollie & Me Jewellery. We go live on January 10, 2026! How all this began...
Ollie was my soul dog. He died 4 years ago and I still miss him terribly. He was with me through my journeys through cancer, my son's journey with cancer, my divorce, my relocation from Alberta to Saskatchewan, the opening of my private counselling practice, and so much more. He left us suddenly at 12 years of age due to cancer.
Whenever I needed a hug, Ollie was there. Whenever I needed love, Ollie was there. Ollie healed my heart on more than one occasion. After he died, I was greatly missing his comfort. I found myself starting to play around with making jewellery. I had never done this before. I started watching videos and I followed other's creative processes. Slowly I noticed that jewellery making became a type of self care practice for me. The more I created, the happier I felt.
One day I thought, "How can I make jewellery making meaningful...more than just jewellery?" That was when I got the idea to create jewellery that highlights mental illness, grief and loss and cancer. These three areas of life are my "mo-jo" so to speak. In my counselling practice, I work with a lot of kids. So it just made sense to offer jewellery for kids and I had a lot of fun doing this.
Each month, I will highlight a certain nonprofit that focuses on mental wellness, addictions, grief/loss, and/or kids. A portion of our monthly proceeds will go to the chosen charity. We want to give back because we have been so fortunate to do what we do here in Regina, Saskatchewan.
