Work in progress!

I’m trying to streamline my market display setup a bit, and probably failing miserably at making it any faster, but hey, I think it’ll look cool. My goal is to make it windproof after a very blustery season last year. Wish me (and my new tent) luck with the weather this year! 😅

Want to see whether this display idea actually works? You can find all my upcoming markets and events on my website’s event page. Link in bio.

Hop on the bus for the full garden tour & tea party experience (tickets available ). Check out the beautiful local gardens, chat about plants, see some art & enjoy high tea in your fanciest hat!

If you can’t make the full tour but still want to stop by, I’ll have the studio doors open 10:00-3:00 for drop-ins as well. I’ll be set up together with with a wide array of goodies! I’ll have my nature-inspired jewellery of course, while she will have tropical plants and other fun plant-related items.

The aquamarine in this ring sat in my collection for 15 years before I could finally bring myself to use it.

The unusual mirror-cut marquise shape catches light in the most incredible way, throwing glowing, shifting patterns across the stone. It’s the kind of gem you keep taking back into the sunlight just to watch it again.

I sculpted this sterling silver ring to follow the elongated shape of the stone, tapering softly around the finger with a subtle knife-edge profile that feels far more comfortable than it looks. Every detail was built around the gemstone.

Truthfully, I’m a bit surprised to still have this ring. Stones like this are incredibly hard to find, and replacing one today would cost dramatically more than it did when I bought this gem 15 years ago. Once it’s gone, it will never be repeated.

If it feels like your ring, now is the time to claim it before summer market season begins. Size 7.

I made a new thing!

Fresh off the bench and almost ready to leave the nest, this one-of-a-kind garnet necklace will be coming with me to upcoming markets this season. Check out my events page for the list of where I’ll be with my handmade treasures this spring & summer. (website link in bio)

Can’t wait until the next market? My studio doors are always open by appointment if you’d like to see my work in person.

Just under two weeks left until Art in the Garden! This event, hosted by Pontypool Art In The Park, brings together gardeners & artists for a full day of floral fun.
🌿
My native garden is one of the stops on this year’s tour for those who like a walk on the wild side. I’ll also be opening my studio doors so you can peek behind the scenes and see where the magic happens inside a working jewellery studio.
🌱
I’ll have my nature-inspired jewellery set up to browse, and joining me here will be the wonderful countrytropics with a selection of luscious tropical plants and plant-related goodies. Between the garden, the studio, the jewellery, and all the leafy treasures, there’ll be lots to explore at my stop. 🍓
For those taking part in the guided tour, a bus will travel between the featured gardens throughout the day, ending with a strawberry tea party featuring delicious high tea treats, drinks, prizes for the fanciest hats, and plenty of garden party charm.
🎩
While the guided tour is the full experience, my stop will also be open house style during event hours, so if you can’t make the full day, you’re still welcome to stop by to explore the garden, browse jewellery and tropical plants, and say hello.

Happy World Bee Day!! Ok, so I missed it by a day… for the second year in a row. At least I’m consistent!
🐝
This bumblebee is working its way through a patch of Prairie Smoke in my garden. That sharp, high-pitched vibration you hear? That’s called buzz pollination (or sonication): the bee vibrates its flight muscles to shake pollen loose from the tight flowers. Honey bees can’t do this, but bumblebees are especially good at it, along with some of our other native bee species.
🌸
Native pollinators are a huge part of a healthy ecosystem, but many species are struggling due to habitat loss, pesticides, and lack of native food sources. Planting native species, providing habitat, avoiding pesticides, and leaving some bare ground for ground-nesting bees can make a real difference. There are so many beautiful native plants that support wildlife while also making our spaces more vibrant and alive!
🌼
If you’d like to see some of these plants in person, my garden will be part of the upcoming Art in the Garden Tour! I’ll happily share seeds, divided plants, and any volunteer plants popping up where they shouldn’t be. I’ll also have my jewellery set up, and the wonderful will be here with tropical plants & plant-related goodies for sale, so it should be a really lovely day for fellow plant nerds. 🌱

Date: June 6th
Time: 10:00-3:00

I hope everyone had a bit of R&R over the long weekend! It sure feels like spring skipped us and went straight to summer, doesn’t it?!
☀️
I enjoyed some family time and spent a large chunk of the weekend with my hands in the dirt, weeding and visiting my plant friends to see who’s waking up. One of my favourites, the wild strawberries, are blooming all across the gardens, lawn, driveway, and anywhere you’ll let these resilient little beauties stay.
🍓
Wear a reminder of the season all year with these sweet wild strawberry jewellery pieces, cast in sterling silver or two-tone with a pink gold strawberry and silver leaves. Gold pieces are usually made to order, but I currently have one pendant in stock with a pink gold berry ready to ship.
🌿
You can also find these pieces in person at upcoming markets & events. Keep an eye on the events page on my website to see where I’ll be next!

Coming up next - the silver peanut!
🐿️
This hollowed-out peanut went out with a recent batch of wax models to be cast in silver - fingers crossed it turns out!
🌼
Speaking of fingers, please excuse my “gardening manicure”! I took advantage of the nice weather to do some work in my garden; it’s my happy place.
🚍
If the garden is also your happy place, there will be a garden tour in Pontypool on June 6th. I’m just one of the stops on this guided tour, which ends with a tea party. I’ll post more about this soon - you can go to for more info and to purchase tickets.
