This past weekend, I was part of something deeply intentional and special: the marriage of Justin and Shane.
Every element of what they chose to include in their celebration held meaning and embodied the connection between the two of them and all of their loved ones.
They invited their friend, Sol, to officiate the ceremony, and my role was to support legally (and energetically). This gave me space to be present in a very different way than I typically am at a ceremony; I was able to observe and absorb the love, ritual, words and emotions with my whole heart.
As I watched Sol prepare for the ceremony in their backyard under the chuppah made by Justin’s father, I reflected on all of the little details that surrounded Shane and Justin as they crossed the threshold of matrimony.
In Shane’s keynote speaking life, he espouses the critical nature of “plus one experiences”… how much richer life is when we share it with others. He is so right.
Shane and Justin, my wish for you is that the happiness and love that you share now will be with you always. That your zest for life never dims. And that the world around you holds your love in the very highest regard.
