Exciting News: A New Journey in Music Begins!
Hey there, everyone!
I can’t thank you enough for all the love and support you’ve shown me over the years. It means the world to me, and today, I’m thrilled to share something truly special with you. 🌟
For the past two years, I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into a new project—a collection of songs that capture the essence of my life’s journey. This musical adventure has been a deeply enriching experience, reminding me of the magic that happened when my dad placed a six-string guitar in my hands at just seven years old. I played until I was twelve, but when that beloved guitar was stolen from school, my heart broke. I channeled that passion into singing with the Dunsmuir Folk Rock Group, part of our school curriculum. Music has always been the heartbeat of my life, and I still cherish the memory of singing “The Way We Were” by Barbra Streisand at our graduation.
Now, living on Vancouver Island, I’m hoping to reconnect with my music director from those days and bring this journey full circle. I’ve continued to sing in church choirs, and today, I’m excited to share that I’ve taken the next big step.
This is my first release, featuring a group of incredibly talented musicians—two of whom have been my mentors. I’m humbled and beyond excited that they’ve joined me on this journey. 💫
I’ve just launched my YouTube channel, Deb G Band, and I’d be honored if you’d check out my first release. It’s a rock-and-roll song with a twist—imagine Momma playing a six-string, with some amazing guitar licks to boot! My genre is Country Indie Rock, and some folks have said I sound like Melissa Etheridge and Sass Jordan. I’m embracing that as a compliment!
I really hope you enjoy the music. If you do, please like, subscribe, and share it with your friends.
Thank you once again for being such an important part of my life.
Warmest regards,
Deb
Hey everyone! So excited to share Momma's got a six string. I wrote this song after many hours of contemplation. I know I drove some folks a little bonker...
