Aren't these trees spectacular? Its been so hot here in Montreal the last couple of weeks. Some people love it , others not so much. The fortunate ones are relaxing under those beautiful trees up there. These are the trees that inspired my Peridot Jasper Nature Sculpture. Its really hot, the sun is blaring down on me, the light is so bright I have to keep my eyes fixed on the ground. [ 221 more words. ]

This dreaded metallic green pest, the emerald ash borer, is in the process of eliminating almost all of the trees in Montreal. My friend Diane, who lives on the other side of town , says that every tree on her street is scheduled to be cut down. This makes a huge difference to our quality of life- Montreal is already way too hot in the summer. [ 159 more words. ]
