Okay big announcement this folks! Thought I would save this hot photo of me for the occasion. After careful consideration (and some agonizing) I’ve finally made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Glittering Magpiee! While I’ve loved my time making feminist jewelry, patches, totes and buttons I’m feeling ready to move on to spending more time making weirder things in my art practice. I’ll still have zines and prints and you can follow along on my personal account for those goodies and other strange projects. To say goodbye I’m clearing out all my stock on my etsy with a 20% discount, now until December 31st with the code GOODBYEMAGPIE. I’ll be updating my shop over the next few days with some one-of-a-kind pendants and some originals I made back in 2015. After December 31st - p**f - I’ll be gone! So this is your last chance to grab Glittering Magpiee merch! I’m happy to announce that not only is it forsythia season (my fave!) but all profits from glittering magpiee from march 13th onwards will be going towards Kapit-Bisig Laban COVID Toronto, a mutual aid network organized by BAYAN Toronto including member organizations Migrante Ontario, Anakbayan Toronto, GABRIELA Ontario and Toronto Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines (TCHRP). These organizations support the democratic people’s movement in the Phillipines. They understand that the conditions of migrant and diasporic Filipinos overseas are rooted in conditions in the Philippines which force many of abroad.
Kapitbisig is a Tagalog term that translates to “linked arms..” Community care and mutual aid are the best way for us to overcome the hardship caused by COVID-19.

I wrote the first edition of ‘So You’re Anxious as F*ck: tips and tricks and things’ in 2016, just before the Toronto Q***r Zine Fair that year. I brought 30 copies and sold out in the first half hour. Turns out people are pretty darned anxious! Amidst COVID -19 I’m giving away 10 copies of the second edition for free.
