Two pairs of socks using the same pattern! These were knit one at a time from the cuff down on 9-inch circular needle, and that was certainly a challenge, but new skill acquired! Kitchener graft stitch. No seams at my toes!

The blue pair was knit with Lichen and Lace Marah Mohair in Blue Lagoon and Hedgehog Fibers Twist Sock in Medusa. These yarns were held together, and the resulting socks are super soft and fuzzy! The leg length, heel, and arch of the socks were modified from the original pattern. The reinforced heel wraps around the heel completely, and the arch is ribbed to add support and a better fit

The funky pair was made with Estelle Sock Twins Crazy Ball in the colour Tropical. While designed to make matching pairs, I opted to make them not match to show all the colours. This pair the only modification made was the length of the leg. Both pairs were fun to make. Now to switch things up so I'm not bored with socks!

I've been knitting socks! Finished my two at a time toe up socks in The Floor is Lava and they're so cozy! With Cricket Cove's Summer Sock Hop underway, I started making a pair of socks using 9in circular needles. No ladders up the sides! The Blue pair is knit using Hedgehog Fibers Twist Sock in Medusa held with Lichen and Lace Marsh Mohair in Blue Lagoon. The funky purple sock is Estelle Sock Twins Crazy Ball in Tropical. That one I'm making as a shop example.

Socks are progressing nicely! Working the heels one at a time with Regia mending thread held with my working yarn to add strength. Almost halfway done! Heels, leg then bind off! Two as a time is now a skill I have under my belt. Second sock syndrome, who is she? Loving this yarn from
The colour and matching stripes are amazing!!

Finally, I'm getting around to learning a new skill. Two at a Time socks! There's a few mistakes I will patch afterward as these are for me and I'm learning. Absolutely loving this colourway from sock blanks called the Floor is Lava. I remember playing this game as a kid, and hot red toes suit the name well!

When all is calm and you're permitted to create pieces for the store you work at. I've picked up my needles and started working on the Reyna Shawl that can be found on Ravelry. I'll post the link below.
Working with Lichen and Lace 80/20 sock yarn in the colour Baby Eggplant. Works up so beautifully!

Been a bit since I lost posted something I was working on. Started working for a local luxury yarn shop and on slow periods I am permitted to knit. Well time to whip up some socks! Featured is a full skein from Sweet Skein o'Mine if I recall correctly (it's been in the stash a while) and a mini sock skein from . Love the subtle sparkle in this yarn. Too cute!

Day 4 of Tour de Fleece. Yesterday was a transfer day which for us spinners means it's a rest day. I took the time to ply up my bobbins which the final photo features. Today's challenge was to spin 10 grams of fiber as fine as you possibly could. I made two bobbins as fine as I could and plied them together. I was not expecting it to work so well!

Featured in the first three photos is tussah silk top I dyed but didn't get the day down into the center of the top leaving bare silk that I plied with a custom blend of BFL, merino, and Sari silk from World of Wool. Now I want to do more with a black ply and colored silks. This is why I wanted to participate. Try new things!!

Day 3 of Tour de Fleece. Today's mini challenge was to spin something strange or something that you haven't spun yet. Suggestions were plants, and even food. I had this bag of fluff for a bit and decided to spin it. This is fur from our shelties Rebel and Fresco. Both have sadly passed on but not forgotten. We saved some of the hair from brushing them out incase i ever found a project for them. I figured this challenge would be a good way to use their hair. Miss them dearly.

Continuing on with day 2 of Tour de Fleece! Finished spinning this bobbin of fleece as there was no challenge today. Plying begins tomorrow!!

Featured is a beautiful blend of Merino, kid Mohair, tussah silk called "All the Wrinkles" by Good Fibrations. I actually did not know what the colours would be at time of purchase and was pleasantly surprised that it looked so nice next to "Grapple" featured in my previous post. Both will be chain plied and knit into a set.

Yesterday was day one of Tour de Fleece. A spinning race running alongside the Tour de France race. Day one was the speed trials in Copenhagen so in the same manner the spinning team I joined put out a challenge to spin as fast as you can for 2minutes and 11 seconds. The first photo is the result of my speed trial before I started up a live stream to spin for another 3hours and 20minutes.

Fleeces used were two one off braids from Good Fibrations Saint John NB. The purple is a Bluefaced Leicester and Tussah silk blend called "Grapple". The blue is Merino, kid Mohair, tussah silk called "All the Wrinkles" these two will look awesome paired together in a project!
