Shortly after the covid pandemic I found myself turning to natural remedies and nature. I felt the need to heal and protect myself from anything and everything. I purchased a few stretch string gemstone bracelets and was greatly saddened when they would break. So as a crafter I decided to make a heartier bracelet that wouldn't break or be as fragile. Hence knotted gems was born.

Went to the The Station House today to see what was new! Found myself this cute little soup bowl cozy - I will use it to hold crystals on my table at fairs and shows. Different use all together but very cool! I hadn’t thought of a soup bowl cozy when I envisioned it originally but it fits! Plus it’s black with succulents which will match the table beautifully.
Im hopeful that maybe one day Knotty Gems could be found here too. There were some very different items from my own so I’m hopeful 🤞

Sundays are my WASH days - the day I wash my locs - and since it’s so nice outside I’ll use the sun and wind to help dry them since it’ll be hours yet….which gives me plenty of time to finish that simple beaded piece Ive been working on. More pics to come later.

Went to the rock and gem show in Fredericton today - to see Tim with firelight metaphysical. I needed to restock some gemstones for some upcoming pieces and grab one for a custom.

The two without tags - one is blue something…I’ll ask and the other is mion de lion or similar - I’ll double check on these two.
Oh and the last one is a fossilized sand dollar. Very cool!

I was very intrigued with the shungite stone. It’s a Scorpio stone so maybe that’s why I was drawn to it but it’s said to counteract the harmful effects of electronic devices and removes toxins from the body. I think this one will be a personal one - the price tag was double my usual budget for pieces 😅

Either way I had a great time seeing all the beautiful gems - wish I had more time there and of course an endless supply of cash lol

Here it is October!!! Where is the time going..?? My nine to five has gotten extremely busy with the extra work from Canada post customers… but busy means more overtime which always comes in handy with the holidays around the corner!! Speaking of. I have another week off next month - time to create more beautiful pieces. What would you like to see??
