People that know me well call me a "crow". I pick up shiny, unusual, textured things and save them to craft with later. I have always been crafty, but I started making jewelry in grade school, first simply stringing beads onto elastic thread. I eventually taught myself peyote and other stitches, and raffled off some intricate pieces to raise money for charity at the age of 12. My creativity evolve

s continuously, and I love to learn new techniques and work with different materials. I love wirework, beadwork, polymer clay, lampwork (glass bead making), and regularly try to incorporate found objects into mixed-media designs. I love to create and invent and combine. All of my pieces are handmade with care - I can't wait to share my creations with you!

I just had an idea 🤯... Is it possible to make use of these lonely earrings?

Studs, clip-ons, and hoops are notoriously tricky to do anything with once one of them is lost. With single dangle earrings, you can normally convert a charm into a pendant, or an accent bead to incorporate into other jewelry designs.

Nonetheless, I hate waste, and I'm determined to salvage them! Stay tuned to see if this works out... 😅

I've needed one of these for a while, so today is the day! I've used resin to make my cicada & butterfly wing earrings before, but it always yellows eventually.

I much prefer to make pieces that stand the test of time, and are both beautiful and durable. So I'm trying a new method to seal these types of natural materials before setting them behind glass in more traditional metalsmithed pieces.

I've decided I'm going try to post more regular, less polished content so you all can get to know me a bit better, and get a sense of my creative process!

It's hard to not be perfectly edited all the time, but I think it's important to show how messy creativity can be!
