It’s time to say goodbye. When I started Hello Ashto in 2018, I made earrings because I loved to work with clay and discover new and innovative ways to make earrings. I poured everything into my business and I was so lucky to be able to run it full time for a year. It was never something I saw myself doing or ever thought I would be capable of. I’m so happy to be leaving this business on a high note - I’ve built up an amazing community of fellow business owners and makers in my life and for that I couldn’t be more grateful.
In 2021 my business had become a big source of anxiety for me. My whole life flipped on it’s head when I decided to leave my long term relationship in February and move to a new city. I thought that would be the change I needed to start loving Hello Ashto again, but alas, it only got worse. I would avoid going into my studio. I would avoid answering emails or DM’s. I would avoid making new products. I realized that I am authentic to a fault - if I don’t love something anymore, I physically cannot do it. But this authenticity is also what helped me to build up Hello Ashto to what it became. My passion and creativity takes me everywhere in life, and sometimes it changes.
I’m currently working at and I am absolutely loving it. I work with amazing people and I get to use my passion and creativity to help another amazing small business succeed and grow.
