My Love of Handmade

Jewellery should be more than just beautiful. There should be a specific purpose in wearing a piece, even if only the person it adorns knows the meaning. Trisha Flanagan’s current designs play with this idea that jewellery must be more than a pretty piece and should hold personal significance for the wearer.

Trisha Flanagan is a graduate of the newly renamed Alberta University of the Arts, formerly the Alberta College of Art and Design, majoring in the Jewelry and Metals department. Since then she has worked as an apprentice silversmith, has had a family and now runs her own Calgary based studio. Trisha’s unique works are an expression of her passion for family, home - and fun.
