Congratulations Angela and Garrett.

At the centre of this bespoke design is a stunning bold emerald cut diamond framed by rare Australian pink Argyle diamonds and detailed with hidden birthstones representing both Angela and Garrett.

Garrett first reached out from Texas after Angela, already following our work, knew she wanted her ring us to design her engagement ring. Together we designed the piece through sketches and WhatsApp threads, each detail refined until it reflected their story perfectly.

From sourcing the diamond to hand setting the pink Argyles and birthstones, every element was crafted with meaning. The ring made it to Texas just in time for their European engagement.

A green tourmaline and sapphire convertible brooch and pendant — worn as either, designed as both.

This piece was created as a 40th birthday gift for a client who loves the Art Deco era and wanted something that could not be found anywhere else. It was designed and made in our Sydney studio, and last year it was selected for the 100 Years of Art Deco exhibition curated by Katerina Perez at Gem Genève 2025 — one of the most prestigious jewellery fairs in the world.
The brooch converts seamlessly to a pendant. The green tourmaline and sapphires were selected for their depth of colour and their period authenticity. Every detail was drawn by hand and painstakingly painted in gouache before being meticulously custom made in our Sydney workshop.

One diamond. Four different stories. Which is your favourite design?

I fell in love with this 2.01 carat natural champagne pear diamond as soon as I saw it. I’ve drawn four designs — by hand, painted in gouache, the way I have always worked — each one a different version of this beautiful natural stone.

Then I used Facetflow to render each drawing into a photorealistic image, so you can see exactly how each design would look as a finished piece of jewellery. A precise, accurate representation of a hand-drawn design brought to life in a new way.

This is what the combination of traditional craft and contemporary technology makes possible. My creativity, design instinct, and hours at the drawing board. I will never replace this part of the process. But being able to show how each design looks in minds eye is another way of illustration. You’re able to see another vision of how your ring looks before it goes on to the jewellers bench giving another layer of confidence in commissioning a new design.
