This was my first piece I made this year (on January 1st).
A beautiful 10 carat Lightning Ridge dark crystal opal with sun-flash throughout set in sterling silver.

I have loved this stone ever since I started cutting it a few years ago. I always wanted to make something lovely and wearable with it.

Unfortunately the photos and videos don’t do it justice.
In real life the colours are quite bright and colourful.

I’m happy with how it turned out. 😍🥰❤️💜

I’ve been really feeling the Ruby vibes lately and felt I needed to buy more. There is just something about them. Rubies and emeralds. 😍😍😍

My new faceting machine is almost the same design as my previous machine but slightly different. The water is different (improved), the faceting arm is slightly different, the disc and nut are the opposite (spin and tighten in the opposite direction), the casing is a different material & the power is different.

Taking me a little while to get used to but loving how quiet it is!
