This beautiful gemstone is a Regency Plume Agate. These stones are found in a small area of a basalt valley in north–east Oregon. This agate was named “Regency Rose” by its miners because of the variety of coloured plumes that can exist in the rock, ranging from pink, red, gold, orange and white to black. I have wrapped this beauty in sterling silver to create a pendant with embossed silver wire for the bail. It comes on a sterling silver chain and is available in The Churn Room, 38 Williams St, Dayboro. Open 9:00-2:00 Wednesday to Sunday. Access is through and behind the Silverwood Cafe.
