aah good ol’ human behaviour… this week I CAN’T use my studio, and for the first time in many months, I really really WANT to! 😅
If you’re up for a bit of a read, here’s where I’ve been for the last 7 months. 7 months?? Far out. THANKS to the loving followers who messaged, tagged and didn’t forget me 😆🥰

My soul mate and baby boy, Rufus, passed away suddenly (and a bit dramatically) late last year and as you can imagine, I didn’t feel much like making earrings. Then, in an unconventional development, I ended up with a new puppy basically straight away (I call him the replacement dog) and caring for a puppy also equals zero studio time (because puppies are evil).
Somewhere in that time I started some home renovating (why not!) which seemed like something I would just potter away at, but now my whole house (and studio) is packed up and I am staying elsewhere for a few weeks.
So OF COURSE I want to make earrings this week!

In all seriousness though, I think it is because I am not in my house and my mind has relaxed. The constant voice creating the to-do list of chores has shut the hell up.
It’s been a tough year for makers though hasn’t it! I’ve seen some sad posts, so many people packing up shop or taking a break, so it also feels right that I’ve just stayed out of it for a bit. That said, I will be at the next in September so the proverbial finger will need to be pulled very shortly!
