MAFROUKEH

One of my favs!
This decadent Lebanese dessert is definitely one to try!
It is made up different layers of texture, colour and flavour.

The base is a sweet, caramelised semolina that is paste like, with a creamy but crunchy texture and floral notes from rosewater and orange blossom.
It is then topped with a layer of ashta clotted cream that is not super sweet, although optional syrup can be drizzled on top.
The Pièce de résistance is the final layer of roasted slithers of almond cashew and pistachio.

The end result is utter bliss!

ASSORTED LEBANESE MALBAN & NOUGAT

These chewy little candy delights are the perfect gift on their own, or placed with a selection of other sweets.

They all have their own unique & distinct flavour. Rose, orange blossom and mastic.
The nougat comes in a variety of different nuts (pistachio being most popular) and can be plain or combined with the Malban.

The Malban is traditionally made with grape molasses and comes in a section of flavours and nuts also.
It is a chewy, delicate jelly like sugar candy.
