It’s been a year since I made my first pair of earrings!
What a journey!
I’ve fallen headlong into this new hobby and in the process, started a very small business and am working at growing it and making it more professional.
I didn’t realise a year ago where this would take me.
20+ markets, 2 regulars a month and looking for more, the lovely people I’ve met, the things I’ve learnt, watching my craft get better and just enjoying the making.
I’m grateful for this distraction as I got through a difficult divorce.
The therapy of squishing the clay in my hands and creating something beautiful out of a simple block of clay has been a lovely metaphor to what I was going through.
Being able to switch off from stress and just work on building something new is so therapeutic.
I love being in a position to bless people, the last market I went to at the local Retirement Village, I came home -$10.
I sold 3 pairs of earrings and gave away 4 to some of my lovely customers who were wearing things that I knew I had earrings that matched. 😜
It’s not all about the money to me, if I can bring happiness and a smile to someone, that’s a bonus.
Thankyou to everyone who has followed my page, whether it’s for ideas and inspiration or to buy, I appreciate you being here.
Here’s a little nod to my ‘real’ job, working in a Pharmacy.
Thought it might give you a giggle.
Imagine the possibilities…… 🤣
