Wearing the Seiko SBDC141 today on the OEM bracelet.

It’s the chunkiest watch in my collection. I love smaller watches these days, but somehow this is still an absolute delight to wear.

Sometimes size and specs on paper don’t tell the whole story.

Old watch. New strap.

The Seiko Style 60s is one of my favourites and one that will never leave the collection.

Trying it today on this new Saffiano leather strap as part of testing strap samples for our upcoming Sidus Austris Watches Outrider.

So far, it’s proven to be comfortable on the wrist and looks pretty good too. But the real test is how it holds up over time, how it breaks in, develops with wear, handles sweat and moisture, and how the leather, stitching and edges hold up with regular use.

So I’ll be wearing this one quite a bit over the next few months. Let’s see how it goes.

Designed in collaboration with Brent Robillard and limited to just 25 pieces.

I’ve liked the whole Rangefinder series since I first saw them. I’m a sucker for vintage styling and proportions, so these were right up my alley. The Iron Tide was the one that spoke to me most though. That pop of orange on the minute hand against the blue dial, paired with the steel-coloured bezel, did it for me.

At 38mm, it wears like a charm on my 6.5" wrist. The oversized signed crown is a delight, and the fully brushed 5-link bracelet is really comfortable on the wrist.

Very happy to have managed to grab one of the 25. 😊

Galo Super 200 Dark Edition

There’s a lot going on here, but somehow it all works. The textured dial, 3-6-9-12 layout, vintage-toned lume and that fully lumed bezel + lumed crown give it plenty of character.

And then the lights go out… 🔦 That lume is seriously cool. 👌

The more time I spend with the Miyako, the more it grows on me.

That textured dial, oversized numerals and vintage-inspired bezel somehow come together without feeling overdone.

Easily one of the best values in the microbrand world.

Bought this Mocha Vintage Suede Strap from B & R Bands specifically for the Big Crown Pointer Date Bronze.

It originally comes with a stainless steel pin buckle, but I swapped it for the original bronze Oris buckle. Call it OCD if you like, I wanted everything to match.

The dark mocha suede suits the bronze case far better than the lighter brown leather the watch came on, in my opinion. It completely changes the character of the watch.

The biggest challenge wasn't finding a dark brown suede strap, I already had one. It was finding one that tapers from 20mm to 16mm so I could reuse the original Oris bronze buckle.

Really happy with how this combination turned out.

I've been trying the B&R Bands Milanese mesh bracelet on the Speedtimer SPB513J over the past few days, and I have to say, it's an absolute pleasure.

I think the fine mesh complements the Speedtimer's classic design really well, and the slim deployant clasp keeps it comfortable on my wrist without adding unnecessary bulk as usual.

Looks right at home on this watch, in my opinion.
