I was recently asked to create a pendant around a much-loved opal so it could become part of everyday wear rather than remain tucked away.

The final piece was kept deliberately restrained — sterling silver, a softened hexagonal form and small diamond details that subtly frame the stone rather than compete with it.

Feeling more settled in this beautiful building with my new signage going up this week — a place for and to sit side by side.

A ring made to mark a much-loved companion.

This piece pairs a round Australian parti sapphire with a pear-shaped champagne diamond, set side by side in 18ct yellow gold. The stones were chosen for their gentle contrast and warmth, and to reflect the colouring of the cat it remembers.

Inside the band, a small paw print has been engraved — a private detail for the wearer and a quiet reference to the companion this ring was made to honour.

Some commissions carry stories known only to the wearer.
