Our Cause
The developing countries (Africa, Latin America, certain parts of Asia) now account for about 80% of the world population. The highest growth rates occur in the poorest countries. Poverty is more than just the lack of finances to ensure a sustainable livelihood. Hunger, malnutrition, limited access to education and early childhood death manifests itself in poverty. As our population grows, so will the many children who will endure a life of high social risk. Ask the poor man what his greatest asset is and he would probably tell you it's his children. Unless the lives of the children change, the cycle of poverty will continue.
The statistics for poverty and modern day slavery seem very daunting. But behind the figures is a face, a name, a dream, a spirit and a soul. If we could all just impact 1 life, imagine the difference we can make.
